We ask that what you donate be items in a condi- tion you would give to a friend. One man's junk/treasures are great but, no garbage please. Our community has free transfer station, north of town, just WEST of the Fire Station. Currently we are really overloaded with clothing, so we are asking for no clothing donations at this time. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Notice our new white tent out front? Look for furniture and other large items inside this annex. This allows us to take furniture dona- tions. Our porch is a Christmas wonderland for your shopping en- joyment. We really need a bigger building, and yes a larger parking lot, too. Thanks to all our customers that have returned to our oasis in the desert as well as our year around patrons. Thanks for patience at the register when the lines are long. We are doing our best with wrapping and bagging your found treasures. A reminder we accept cash, checks, and Visa, Discover and Mastercard. No fi fties or hundreds unless your purchase is near that amount. Again, this year we will supple- ment with purchased food items for the Thanksgiving Food Bank boxes, the Thanksgiving Dinner at Isaiah 58 and for Eve's Place Community Services. We can assist more com- munity individuals and families by coordinating with these local ser- vice agencies. There will be no in- dividual grocery vouchers. Isaiah's Thanksgiving meal will be served from 2:00 to 4:30pm on Thanks- giving Day. Thanks Coyote Market and RoadRunner Market for taking care of our large orders. We will be closed Wednesday, No- vember 27 and Thursday, Thanks- giving Day November 28th, so that our volunteers can be with friends and family for Thanksgiving. A gigantic thank you to David at Quartzsite Family Dollar for their generous donation of several shop- ping carts to us. An enormous thank you to our volunteer Cletus for mak- ing these new to us carts work like new. Thanks Bill and Cletus for de- livering them to us. We greatly ap- preciate each of you. Our Red Kettle Campaign will begin Friday after Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve. Come in and sign up if you would like to ring or even play an instrument at in town local businesses. You can pick your time and place. These collected funds are used locally in our community. One event the funds were used for was sending local children to Camp Ponderosa, in Heber, AZ, for a week of fun and enrichment activities. We have a fundraising display for QPD "No Shave November" sup- porting Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We have a beautiful handmade child's lap quilt with Davy Crockett western theme that we will raffl e for this cause. We are taking names for our Sal- vation Army Angel Tree Program. Families that need a hand up to make Christmas special for their children ages 15 and under, can come in and sign up. Please know your child's clothing sizes. That re- ally helps the Angel Tree assistants and Angel Tree shoppers. Thanks so much. Our Santa Visit Event will be on Saturday, December 21, 2019. Kid- dos can have photo with Santa and visit Santa's toy shop and pick out new toys, games, socks, pajamas, coats, hoodies, etc. It is a fun time for all ages. We have returned to our win- ter hours. We are open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Hours are 9:00 to 1:00. Always closed Sunday and Monday. Thanks "Bag Ladies", Sheryl and Linda for fl attening out our bags for customer purchases. We go through many each day. We do recycle CRV marked CA plastic, glass, and alu- minum cans. Lids off bottles- can be inside bottle or separate as they do accept the lids too. Cans and bottles can be squished or not. THANKS. A reminder we have a medical needs room with walkers, crutches, potty chairs, wheelchairs, etc. that we loan out by request. We also have a diaper program for adults and seniors. This is a free give-a- way program that you can be ser- viced monthly with photo identifi - cation. Still trying to fi nd a church, school, someone that could use 34 choir robes with collars. Any leads let me know. Free to a good home. Various sizes. Please ask. Thanks! Don't carry your mistakes around with you. Instead, place them under your feet and use them as stepping stones to rise above them. Be kind and compassionate to one another. Be happy.
