hen we announced the Alpha Nu…A Tradition to Build
Upon campaign in the fall of 2017, we had raised just over
$1.6 million in early commitments. Since then, generous
alumni have helped bring our total to more than $2.4 million,
meaning we need less than $600,000 to achieve our minimum $3
million goal. A new year has begun at e University of Texas.
Although the active Chapter is currently without a Chapter House,
before we know it, they will have a beautiful new home in which they
can strengthen the brotherhood.
Increased Support Is Crucial
As you read in the summer campaign update, the time to begin
construction is drawing nearer. We must secure additional support to
keep everything on schedule. On top of that, reaching our goal is crucial
to keeping our original plan intact. e alumni room, the apartment-
style living areas, the increased study space, the multipurpose room…if
we fall short of our goal, we'll be forced to reevaluate what amenities
can and cannot fit within our revised budget.

Earlier this year, we noted that the average Greek fundraising
campaign achieves a 25% alumni participation rate, and that several
other UT fraternities have surpassed our participation rate. If you
have not yet donated to the campaign, please consider using the
enclosed pledge form to make your gi today. With your help, we
can be the next Chapter to hit that 25% threshold; Sigma Chi is
above average, isn't it?
