135 Years of Alpha Nu
Celebrated with
Historical Documentary
T
he History of Alpha Nu video is a
documentary in three parts, created by
Banning K. Lary, Ph.D. '70. e first part
covers the history of the Sigma Chi Fraternity,
including footage shot inside the original
founders' apartment in Miami, Ohio, notable
brothers in various fields of endeavor, and John
Wayne's visit to 2701 Nueces.
e second part focuses on the history of the
Alpha Nu Chapter as told through the eyes
of the brothers, along with historical photos,
documents, and comments by our beloved
house manager, Audrey Freeman '84, who
passed away in May 2016.
You'll also learn the history of the Chapter
House and facilities, detailing the necessity and
fiscal responsibility of building a new house,
along with architectural plans for the facility.
