Focused on Philanthropic
Fundraising
In September, we hosted our annual Fireman's
Challenge where 12 teams participated in a
race on a firefighter-themed course. It raised
upward of $2,000 for the National Fallen
Firefighters Foundation. Our PIKE Dream Girl
competition is underway, and our contestants
will raise money for Riley Children's Hospital
and their sorority's philanthropy.
Leaders at Purdue
We're proud to have Pikes serving in leadership
positions across campus. Dan Broerman '21
served on the student orientation committee
for Boiler Gold Rush, spending 11 months
preparing for recruitment week. David Paroda
'22 and Davis Ashbrook '22 also worked with
Dan, serving as team leaders. With basketball
season underway, I'm working alongside
Nathan Burns '21 to continue our leadership
roles within Paint Crew. Aaron Pate '21 and
Leo Ohandjanians '21 founded the Ocean
Conservation Club to raise money to help
protect oceans around the world.
Thank you to everyone who returned to the
Chapter House for Homecoming. We enjoyed
meeting Pike alumni spanning multiple
decades, and it was great to hear all of your
stories. I hope to see more of you back at 629
University in the future!
