ALPHA TAU OMEGA • UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA-LINCOLN • FALL 2019 A s a new decade of brotherhood fast approaches, we are setting our sights on what it will take to stay successful in 2020 and beyond. As a board, we are looking to: • Establish an annual giving program to sustain alumni communications, fund alumni events, and aid in long-term chapter house maintenance expenses. • Establish additional scholarship opportunities for undergraduate chapter leaders. • Cultivate a mentorship program that pairs alumni with chapter members. ANNUAL GIVING The Board of Directors (BOD) plans to launch an annual giving program in spring 2020, so be on the lookout for how you can participate during the inaugural year. Building on the success of our capital campaign, we know our alumni will see the value of supporting the chapter in the years to come. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Identifying and developing leaders is an area Gamma Theta is proud to call a strength. By establishing additional scholarship opportunities for these leaders, we will build on the chapter's ability to make a difference on campus and in the community. If you have knowledge or interest in working with the BOD and the UNL Foundation in the development process for these scholarships, please contact ATOnebraska@gmail.com. MENTOR PROGRAM Members of the BOD have connected with other fraternity alumni groups that have cultivated successful alumni mentoring programs. We are grateful for this insight and hope to have our own program established soon. If you have interest in being a mentor, please contact ATOnebraska@gmail.com. ALUMNI VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Serving on the BOD doesn't require an eastern Nebraska address—just a willingness to participate. Virtual attendance at board meetings on the phone or behind-the-scenes work on committees are both ways to volunteer. If you have knowledge, skills, time, or just a heart to serve, email ATOnebraska@ gmail.com to find out how to volunteer. CAPITAL CAMPAIGN PAYMENTS While the capital campaign has ended, some of you still have future pledge installments. Please remember to be diligent in paying your remaining pledge balance. If you missed a payment, need a reminder resent, or have a question about your pledge, please contact our campaign coordinator at (785) 843-1661. Contributions can still be made online at atonebraska.org/campaign or you can mail a check to Gamma Theta, P.O. Box 401, Elkhorn, NE 68022.
