Fireman e newsletter for alumni and friends of Gamma eta Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha at Mississippi State University The Fall 2019 T hough A Legendary Past, Ensuring Our Future: Celebrating 90 Years at Mississippi State capital campaign has come to an end, the Gamma Theta House Corporation will continue being stewards of your donated funds and our chapter house. We will do all in our power to protect everyone's investment. This is our pledge to you: • We will maintain the cleanliness of the house—both inside and out. • We will provide guidance to the undergraduates and will be a presence at the house so brothers know who we are and that we are a resource. • We will maintain room and board fees as well as parlor fees that will maximize our revenues while keeping the chapter competitive on campus. • We will listen to the undergraduate chapter to deliver a home they are happy with and proud to live in. ANNUAL CAMPAIGN BEGINS THIS FALL As announced in the spring, we are entering into an annual campaign to build up a house maintenance reserve fund. This fund will help us protect the investment we made in the chapter house. The chapter house is in tip top shape but wear and tear and unexpected repairs will come up. We must be able to act swiftly when the time comes for repairs. We encourage everyone to participate at an annual level that doesn't break your budget but assists us in our goals. Be on the lookout for a letter with more information on how to give in the next few weeks. STAY IN THE HABIT OF DONATING We were blown away by the support of our alumni during the capital campaign. More than 200 alumni donated to the renovation. We'd love to see 200 alumni donate to our annual campaign each fall and spring moving forward. Getting in the habit of giving back to Gamma Theta each year lets us benefit from a recurring, predictable, and sustainable source of revenue, which in turn helps us continue to be stewards of Gamma Theta. Donations from this fall will go toward getting trees removed in the backyard, with additional landscape installations, as well as a new back entrance gate, more and newer washers and dryers, and possibly adding spotlights on the courtyard area and around the house to increase security. No matter how you stay engaged, we appreciate the ongoing support from our alumni. Together we can ensure a strong future for Gamma Theta.
