It All Started Here
I
t seems like only yesterday we were receiving our bids from Minnesota
Alpha and realizing we found a special place at 1109 Fifth Street. At
Pi Phi, we not only found a home, but a community, a sisterhood and
friendships that would last a lifetime.
While there may be some differences in today's chapter compared to
the one we knew, the fundamental values of Pi Beta Phi stand the test
of time at the University of Minnesota. We acquired valuable skills,
including leadership, teamwork and personal integrity. Often, these
traits have been integral to personal success and helped make us the
women we are today.
With more than 2,600 initiates, Minnesota Alpha has influenced the
lives of numerous women, cultivating lasting friendships in the process.
We continue to pledge some of UMN's finest young women to Pi
Phi as is evident by the consistent academic achievement, focus on
philanthropy and service to others.
Enjoying a past filled with rich tradition and history, Minnesota
Alpha continues to excel. As alumnae, we have been entrusted with
perpetuating this tradition of excellence for the next generation. It is our
collective responsibility to provide future members a safe, competitive
and quality home at UMN. Together, we look ahead to the next 130
years at 1109 Fifth Street.
