Our executive committee worked tirelessly over the summer to set the chapter up for some of our biggest changes ever. Our chapter GPA is higher than its been in several years, our intramural teams are training to take home a championship, and our philanthropy has been completely redesigned to be bigger than ever before. Over the summer our brothers attended Grand Chapter, KTLW, and Horizons in preparation for the school year. Members had the opportunity to meet Sigma Chis all over the country and improve their leadership skills to better themselves and the fraternity. Russell '83 passed on to Chapter Eternal on September 2. He was 58 years old. Craig was a lifetime resident of Larned, Kansas. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Trousdale, Old Mission United Methodist Church, Fairway, and the American Legion Riders, Larned. He played football for Dodge City Community College from 1978 to 1980. He then played football from 1980 to 1982 at Kansas State University. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the K-State Alumni Association. Craig's daughter, Robyn, says, "My dad told many happy and funny stories from his time as a Sigma Chi, one of which being that he was the house manager the summer that the house caught fire." Alumni News Dr. Thomas Keller '72 enjoys community projects and spending time with his seven grandchildren. He resides in Saint Francis, Kan. Email: tomekeller48@gmail.com Brian Gilmore '73 sells plumbing fittings. He says it's not glamorous, but the people he deals with are fine folks. "Just an average guy with an average job, and that's just fine with me," Brian said. He lives in Astoria, N.Y. Email: bgilmore@quickfitting.com Peter Olson '73 spends about half his time at his cabin in Pitkin, Colo., fly-fishing, snowmo- biling, and enjoying family. He travels some and golfs regularly when not in the mountains. He resides in Garden City, Kan., the rest of the year. The class is full of bright young men who have the highest high school GPA we've ever had. Along with other exciting changes, our philanthropy budget has been increased 6.5 times to make Derby Days even more extraordinary. Thank you to everyone who attended the very successful alumni weekend! We are looking forward to our chapter's 70th anniversary this year and hope to see many of you there!
