Zeta Phi Earns Chancellor's Excellence Award Undergraduates Hard at Work to Regain No. 1 Spot Z eta Phi excelled during the 2018-19 academic year. e spring semester was highlighted by quality grades, the addition of a weight room to the chapter house, and a philanthropic lacrosse game vs. Alpha Tau Omega. e chapter was also awarded the Chancellor's Excellence Award for Most Outstanding IFC Fraternity, presented by the university to one IFC chapter each year. is award recognizes Zeta Phi's excellence in academics, philanthropy, and good relations with the university. While turbulent times continue to make ripples throughout Greek life at Mizzou, Zeta Phi has been a role model for continued success. e chapter finished the semester with a GPA of 3.245. While fourth in grades among IFC fraternities, our GPA was higher than the all- university average of 3.193 and the all-fraternity average of 3.095. We hope to bounce back into first place in the fall semester with the addition of our strong new members. anks to the support and generosity of several key alumni and our Dad's Club, Zeta Phi was able to build a new weight room inside the chapter house. e space has already gained popularity with the actives in the house. Besides the obvious health benefits of an in-house weight room, it's just one more leg up that Zeta Phi Chapter has on other fraternities at Mizzou. At the start of the fall semester, we welcomed a new class of 40 bright, future leaders to our brotherhood. Zeta Phi was founded on a backbone of academics, leadership, and brotherhood and we plan to stand on those pillars and build our legacy.
