Bill Nye billnye.com The website features links to episodes of the Bill Nye Saves the World series and learning guides for different topics from the original Bill Nye The Science Guy series, under the "Learn" tab, along with other science resources. Brain Pop brainpop.com and Brain Pop Jr. jr.brainpop.com Brain Pop features short animated movies, plus quizzes and materials on many subjects. Note that this is a paid subscription site but there is also free content available which includes some movies and a library of educational games. Fact Monster factmonster.com/homework-help Fact Monster's homework center offers online math flashcards, an atlas, almanac, and encyclopedia, plus writing advice, games, quizzes and facts on thousands of subjects. Read, Write, Think readwritethink.org ReadWriteThink offers a wide variety of study materials and interactives to help students with key literacy areas including writing, reading, arithmetic. Science Bob sciencebob.com This is a website from science teacher Bob Pflugfelder, who drives around in a mobile lab made from an old ambulance and has appeared on media outlets like "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" It offers experiments and videos to get kids excited about science. Smithsonian Education learninglab.si.edu The 'Students' section of Smithsonian Education features a number of interesting education resources students can explore by topic. Four major categories are covered: Art, Science and Nature, History and Culture, Peoples and Places. Study Geek studygeek.org StudyGeek.org is a nonprofit website where PhD experts help with math homework. The site offers helpful explanations and sample problems for all types of math.
