There are more than 50 state parks and national forests across The Natural State, and plenty of other public campgrounds all around, so you can find one near you wherever you are. Check out this list of campgrounds near Northwest Arkansas, or have your adult search www.arkansasstateparks.com or www.recreation.gov Devil's Den State Park Ozark National Forest West Fork, Arkansas Devil's Den is a natural treasure of Arkansas. There are miles of hiking and mountain bike trails and even a horse camp area and riding trails. You can go on a scavenger hunt through the park and go exploring in caves. There is a lake with rental canoes and pedal boats, a café, store and swimming pool. Plus, there are cabins to rent as well as campsites. Prairie Creek Campground Beaver Lake and Dam East of Rogers, Arkansas This large camping area is on the shores of Beaver Lake has plenty of shade, a volleyball court and a playground, along with fishing, boating, swimming, spelunking and more. There are even reservable shelters for picnics. Book on Recreation.gov. Hobbs Campground Hobbs State Park Conservation Area Rogers, Arkansas Hobbs Campground is nestled within Arkansas' largest state park, along the southern shore of Beaver Lake. It has a few campsites along the Pigeon Roost Trail, and miles of hiking and recreation opportunities. There are lots of programs for kids at the visitor center. This campground doesn't accept bookings and is first come, first served. Contact the park to learn more about this camp at 479-789-5000 or hobbs@ arkansas.com. Withrow Springs Campground Withrow Springs State Park Huntsville, Arkansas Withrow Springs Campground has lots of shady places to pitch your tent or RV, fishing in the stream, floating, and lots of hiking trails. There are beautiful waterfalls off the bluffs, along with tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, picnic areas, a pavilion and even a gift shop. Reserve at arkansasstateparks.com. Lake Fort Smith Campground Lake Fort Smith State Park Fish, kayak and have lots of water fun at this campground on the banks of Lake Fort Smith. Stay in a rental cabin or get close Mother Nature in a campsite. There is also a swimming pool, boat rentals, guided nature hikes and a visitor center with a pioneer log cabin and covered wagon.
