Lake Wedington Recreation Area Ozark-St. Francis National Forests This is a charming, family-friendly destination surrounded on three sides by water, with picnicking areas and cabins within easy walking distance and lots of natural beauty just 13 miles west of Fayetteville. It's on the National Register of Historic Places. It offers rental cabins and campsites and has a pavilion, horseshoe area, volleyball pit, a swimming area, fishing, and convenient trail access. Book at recreation.gov War Eagle Campground Beaver Lake and Dam 10 miles east of Springdale, Arkansas At War Eagle Campground on Beaver Lake the only battle will be what to do first. There is boating, swimming, fishing, hiking, biking and wildlife viewing. There is spelunking and caves to explore. Book at recreation.gov, plus walkup campsites available first come, first served. Starkey Campground Beaver Lake and Dam Eureka Springs, Arkansas You can reserve a site at Starkey Campground—or just show up and see what's available when you arrive—and enjoy camp life to its fullest, with all that Beaver Lake has to offer. There is a playground and a walk down the hill to a pretty lake beach. There's a boat launch too. All the campsites have electricity and some even have water and a sewer for RV stays. Reserve at Recreation.gov Indian Creek Campground Beaver Lake and Dam Garfield, Arkansas One of the few first-come, first-served campgrounds in the area, Indian Creek Campground has large campsites located on the shores of Beaver Lake. There is fishing, hiking, biking, swimming, boating and more. They even offer electricity for RV-travelers. You can also book ahead at recreation.gov Lost Bridge North Campground Beaver Lake and Dam Garfield, Arkansas You'll find your way back to nature at Lost Bridge North Campground, on the shores of Beaver Lake. There's a great primitive youth camping area, but also campsites with flush toilets, showers, and electricity for RVs.
