The class started its year getting to know one another through team building exercises that left us sometimes crying, often times laughing and most of the time, a little of both ~ usually when we were fighting off the monster mosquitoes the storms brought our way! We've heard from many of our community's leaders in fields such as the Arts and Entertainment, our Military & History, Law & Order, Education, and Health & Medicine just to name a few. These leaders shared their experiences and wisdom with the class, leaving us each month with something new to reflect upon as we grow in our own journey. The class had the opportunity to learn how the City/County's economic development corporation brings in new business and industry to our area. We even had the unique pleasure of meeting with an out-of-state client to hear, firsthand, what a business may be looking for when making the decision of where to open a new operation. Our last day together will be Thursday, May 23rd when the class will meet for Government Day followed by our graduation ceremony. Join us in celebrating with the Class of 2019 at an After Hours Reception immediately following graduation at NC Veterans Park. It will be an evening of celebration and networking in a beautiful garden setting. This Special Edition of our Business After Hours will also include a memorial ceremony to honor those who gave all in service to our country. Leadership Fayetteville is a program for members of the Greater Fayetteville Chamber, which offers its participants experiential learning opportunities to take an up-close and personal look at the challenging issues facing our City and County, as well as the hidden gems that make our community special. For over 38 years, the Chamber has offered Leadership Fayetteville based upon an ideal that a great community depends upon sound leadership. This program has produced over 900 participants in the community that continue to network well beyond their time in the program, building sound business relationships which adds value to their organizations. Through community immersion and interactions with diverse leaders, Leadership Fayetteville cultivates leaders while igniting the advancement of the Fayetteville/ Cumberland County/Ft. Bragg area. Applications are being accepted now for next year's class. Don't wait, apply today to be a member of the graduating Class of 2020! LEADERSHIP FAYETTEVILLE GRADUATION & RECEPTION
