SUBMIT FOR FREE at www.QuartzsiteCalendar.com Facebook.com/ DesertMessengerNews The Salvation Army happenings Hope everyone is doing well with this early heat wave. We are thankful for being air conditioned. Later this summer we will be a cooling station and provide bottled water to customers. Stay hydrated. We are so appreciative of your wonderful donations. Please remember that items should be what you would give to a friend. Broken chairs, wet books, torn clothing, worn out shoes, broken electrical items, etc. aren't dona- tions- they are trash and we must pay for garbage pick-up. We don't ac- cept bread machines, printers, mattresses, and of course, "fat televisions". Thanks for your understanding. Congratulations to the kids that entered the Easter coloring event. You are all winners. Remember that we provide adult and infant diapers. Photo identifi cation is all that is required, and you can receive monthly assistance for adult or infant diapers. Please just ask. Thank you, Town of Quartzsite for our Community Outreach Funding. We also have a well-stocked medical needs room. Please ask or give a call. We have crutches, walkers, oxygen tubing, potty chairs, canes, etc. Items are loaned out with no charge to you. We also recycle CA Cash Refund marked aluminum cans, glass bottles, and CRV marked plastic bottles. Thanks for bringing clean recycles with lids removed. Milk jugs, salad, pickle type bottles, are not CRV recyclables. Thanks. Needing nice glass drinking glasses??? Having a LARGE get together, reunion, celebration? We have the glasses for you. We have about 90 of the same de- sign, 12-14 oz. glasses. Such a deal we can make for you. Please ask us. Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections yearly, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of com- munity you want to live in. We have a marvelous community. Thank you, wonderful TSA volunteers. Be kind, be thoughtful, be genuine. Be happy.
