RSVP by May 18 to alumni@texaspike.com A ctor Morgan Woodward '49 entered Chapter Eternal at his Hollywood Hills home on February 22 at the age of 93. He was known for his role as oil man Marvin "Punk" Anderson on the TV show Dallas and his two appearances on the original Star Trek series. Additionally, he was in the film Logan's Run and a regular on the long-running Gunsmoke TV series. His acting career began at UT-Arlington and he later returned to school and obtained a degree in corporate finance from UT Austin where he pledged Pike. Aer several years of work in music, he moved to Hollywood in 1955 hoping to break into musicals. He starred in numerous films, but his role in e Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp stamped him into western films, going on to appear in Gunsmoke and Wagon Train, and his biggest film role— "the man with no eyes" in Cool Hand Luke. Morgan was awarded the Golden Boot Award in 1988 and was inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.
