INSIDE: Exponential Growth • 2 John Kerwin '57 • 3 New Members • 3 Alumni News • 4 ALPHA TAU OMEGA • UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA-LINCOLN • SPRING 2019 M idwesterners and Nebraskans are built tough. Our time at UNL makes all of us a little bit Midwestern, even if we now call another region home. The cold, snowy winter took its toll on the Midwest this year, fol- lowed by a spring filled with devastating flood waters. But all one has to do is turn on the local Nebraska news or read posts on Facebook to see how neighbors and even strangers are banding together to support those affected. Our own un- dergraduates stepped up to help by contributing the proceeds for this year's Tau Tee-Off to sup- port flood victims. Uniting together to support those in need is just one of the many qualities we developed as mem- bers of Gamma Theta. We're proud to see our younger brothers giving back to the community, making strides toward excellence as a chapter, and pursing the ideals needed to be named a True Merit chapter again. We know the 30th year of recognition is in our reach. Mentoring under- graduates is one way we as alumni can help the chapter on this path. If interested, please email ATOnebraska@gmail.com. Summer recruitment is just around the corner and alumni referrals can help connect potential new members with Gamma Theta. If you know a young man heading to the University of Nebras- ka this fall, please reach out to Rush Chairman Nick Swan '18 at nick.m.swan@gmail.com or (402) 679-2270. The chapter also is looking for volunteers who could host summer rush events, so if you have a place, let Nick know so he can work on his event schedule. Please remember to be diligent in paying your remaining campaign pledge installments. If you missed a payment, need a reminder resent, or have a question about your pledge, please contact our campaign coordinator at (785) 843- 1661. Contributions can still be made online at atonebraska.org/campaign or you can mail a check to Gamma Theta, P.O. Box 401, Elkhorn, NE 68022.
