The Delta Chi Fraternity at Kansas State University SPRING 2019 S ince its chartering in 1964, Delta Chi at Kansas State has impacted the lives of more than 700 young men. It offered us a support system that provided a lifetime of friendships, contacts, social opportunities, and many fond memories. Our chapter facilities have always been part of our chapter's legacy. Whether you called the Fairchild house, the off-campus apartments, 508 Sunset, or 1904 Grandview your Delta Chi home, we all know that the brotherhood those buildings helped sustain was their most important feature. But since 2010, the Fraternity community at K-State, as well as the university itself, has grown and changed. Twelve of our peer fraternities have already made investments in renovations, additions, or undertaken new construction on their chapter facilities. To ensure that we continue to recruit and attract some of the top men at the K-State, it is important that we stay on par with the facilities that other fraternities are offering, including the ability for more members to live in the chapter facility. Given these needs, the Delta Chi House Corporation, a capital campaign committee of alumni from all eras, and the undergraduate members are proud to announce the Securing the Future of The Delta Chi Fraternity campaign to secure our continued success at K-State. Through careful study, assessment and planning, it was determined that the House Corporation will acquire an apartment-style facility to house approximately 18-25 brothers and renovate the property to meet the educational and gathering needs of the undergraduate brothers. With your early support, the House Corporation plans to acquire a property by 2021, and will then hire an architectural firm and contractor to assess the site and create renovation plans. We have set a goal of raising $700,000 to cover the projected costs of property acquisition and the renovation. However, your support is essential. The House Corporation, the campaign board, and the active chapter are asking for your help. To date, $403,411 has already been committed to the campaign. We are extremely proud to report that the undergraduate chapter has committed $50,000 to the campaign through their dues. We urge your thoughtful consideration of this project and what it means for the future of Delta Chi at K-State. In the coming weeks, you will receive additional information detailing the project, the campaign, and ways in which you can help prepare for the next 60 years of Delta Chi at Kansas State. Thank you for your loyalty, consideration, and support. Fraternally, John T.
