THETA CHAPTER OF KAPPA KAPPA GAMMA AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI | SPRING 2019 Theta News TheTa ChapTer Campaign ending June 1 Sisters, Help Us Reach Our $1.5 Million Goal Campaign To end June 1 After many months of hard work from our extraordinary House Board, Campaign Board, Era and Class Leaders, and countless other individuals, the capital campaign for Theta Chapter is set to end on June 1, 2019. With $1,385,449 in commitments, we are just $114,551 from achieving our $1.5 million final fundraising goal, which we hope to meet and exceed by our campaign deadline! 12% of alumnae have given We are extremely thankful for the response to our campaign from you, our generous Theta Chapter sisters. To date, we have received commitments from 370 alumnae, represent- ing 12% of our chapter's current membership base. Due to your involvement, we were able to accomplish a beautiful renovation and expansion of the Kappa House and rein- force Kappa Kappa Gamma's place on Mizzou's campus for many years to come. The alumna and undergraduate sisters alike are thrilled with the outcome and couldn't be more proud of their Kappa home. Of course, we could not be more proud of you! ChapTer Women Work To proTeCT Your invesTmenT The House Board remains very active in protecting and pre- serving our chapter facility, which is not only our mutual "investment," but also a tangible focal point of our common bond. The undergraduate women continue to be outstanding stewards of the house and care deeply about maintaining its exceptional condition. Your gifTs are sTill needed In spite of all the progress we have already made, as we mentioned at our House Warming event in August, there is still work to be completed in the lower level to finish reno- vation of the chapter room and study areas and additional enhancements planned for the house as a whole. We are also striving to minimize the financial impact of this project on our active members. For these reasons, it is critical that we reach our campaign goal. If you have already made a com- mitment, please consider a modest increase or reaching out to a Theta Chapter sister who may not yet have participated to encourage her to do so. Although only a few short weeks remain to have your name included on the donor plaque that will be on permanent display on the main level of the house, it is not too late! Such plaques are meaningful because they commemorate a significant moment in time, and the renovation of our Kappa Kappa Gamma home and this historic project are certainly worthy of that honor. Ensure your name is not missing from this special list and consider making your commitment to- day. Remember, our campaign will conclude on June 1, so don't hesitate to reach out to us if we may answer any ques- tions for you. If you have already made a commitment, please accept our heartfelt thanks for your gift to Theta Chapter and please consider doing just a little bit more to help us reach our fundraising goal before the campaign concludes on June 1. If you are still considering your first-time gift, please be assured that it is not too late! Your participation in our cam- paign will make all the difference towards helping to bring this project to completion. We are grateful to all of our do- nors and hope you make plans to visit the Kappa House one day soon—perhaps during a football weekend this fall!
