Looking forward to seeing our Friends! Not a licensed contractor Many people have asked "What do you do with all the money you make from the raffl e quilt and Quilt Show?" The proceeds go back to our Quartzsite community. This year we chose to donate cash to the Senior Center, the Food Bank and Eve's Place. We also buy batting, fabric and supplies to make quilts for local distribution to those in need. Although we receive a lot of material for this project, but it is not enough for the needs in our community. The majority of our members will make at least one charity quilt a year. Some members make more than one. This year one member worked full time to produce more than 50. Bless her heart! That takes a lot of sup- plies. Thank you so much for whatever part you played in this success. We were excited to hear that the Senior Center is planning to do some electrical work this summer. Better lighting in the big hall will make it so much easier to thread our needles. (Really I'm not joking here). The colors in our quilting will be so much more vivid! We love our senior center home. The Quartzsite Quilting Club will not meet formally in the big hall of the Senior Center from April 1 until October. The fi rst meeting for the winter season will be October 15, 2019. During the summer months all quilters are welcome to sew in the dining hall. Have a great summer! Quartzsite Quilters donate
