THE DELTA CHI EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION The KnighT erranT Spring 2019 THE EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SEES SUCCESS WITH YOUR HELP IN 2018 Looking Forward to All 2019 Has to Offer I n the first six months of my role as Chairman, I remain highly honored to serve and deeply appreciate the time, treasure, and dedication that so many of you invest, both through financial donations and service as volunteers. Our brotherhood's passion for educational success and the professionalism of all the volunteers are inspirational to me. In 2018, the Educational Foundation benefited from your support of our Army of Donors program, growing the Trustee Society by 50% over 2017. We also had a great level of participation and feedback during our first Founders Day of Giving: A Day for Delta Chi, which ran for 1,890 minutes over Founders Day weekend. You may have seen it on Facebook marked #Day4DX. This event raised over $115,000 from more than 230 donors, including 37 first-time donors and 42 newly re-engaged donors who again found something special in our educational mission and messages. New 2019 plans, which we're working on and expect to fully announce soon, include new scholarship opportunities for family members of Delta Chis and a new naming and capital campaign in support of educational and training spaces within the Fraternity's new Headquarters in Indianapolis. We're also planning our summer 2019 Trustee Society Experience as a final tribute to 314 Church Street. We intend to make certain the Educational Foundation's Trustees have an opportunity to experience the history on the walls in this Iowa City landmark and to say farewell. Throughout this issue of The Knight Errant, you'll find ways your gifts impact our brothers. I hope that you determine the Educational Foundation's mission warrants your support and that you become or sustain your membership in the Trustee Society. If so, I look forward to personally meeting you in Iowa City and thanking you for assisting our brothers in their acquisition of a strong education. Fraternally, Lyle Sprinkle, Georgia Tech '96 Chairman The Delta Chi Educational Foundation The Delta Chi Fraternity and Educational Foundation leadership held a joint meeting to work together and start 2019 off in a motivated and fun fashion. The meeting was held in San Antonio, Texas, January 25-26. SAVE THE DATE Summer Trustee Society Experience – June 21-23 See inside to read about the impact your giving makes on our brothers!
