That's why it's called the present." ~ Bil Keane letters to the editor Opinions expressed in letters to the editor do not necessarily represent those of the Desert Messenger. BAREFOOT & BOOTS RETIREMENT After 15 years of playing dances in the area, Barefoot & Boots band has decided to retire at the end of this season. After a great deal of soul searching, we feel it's time to slow down a little. We don't plan to go away and hopefully you will find us showing up at jam sessions from time to time around the area. We are so grateful for all the won- derful people who have supported us through the years. We may not al- ways know your names, but we always looked forward to seeing you on the dance floor. Without you, we wouldn't have been doing what we did. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for fifteen wonderful years.
