Rogers Place, Quartzsite, AZ 928-927-6605 desertedgervpark.com DESERT EDGE RV PARK Quartzsite, Arizona LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Lake Havasu Field Offi ce will conduct prescribed burning in Parker, Ariz. during the month of February, as weather conditions al- low. The burn area is located seven miles northeast of Parker and half- a-mile west of Parker Dam Road near Crossroads, on the California side of the Colorado River. The removal and controlled burn- ing of vegetation piles helps reduce the threat and spread of wildfi res and improves access to the river. Burning may occur multiple times during this period, to eliminate piles of vegetation overgrowth and dry wood accumulated during maintenance of BLM recreation sites and creation of fi re breaks. To ensure the safety of residents and visitors, BLM fi re management personnel will ignite the piles when weather conditions are conducive to burning. Impacts from smoke will be monitored and are expected to be minimal. Access to the burn area may be temporarily restricted during the operation to provide for public safety.
