Α Β Γ Δ Ε Ζ Η Θ Ι Κ Λ Μ Ν Ξ Ο Π Ρ ΣΤ ΥΦ Χ Ψ Ω Political Action Committee future generations of student leaders 5 T he FSPAC is the largest PAC focused solely on higher education issues. For more than ten years we have made contributions to a bipartisan slate of hundreds of candidates who have assisted in moving our agenda forward. We continue to focus our efforts on reaching out to Greek members of Congress who share our goal of defending the fraternity and sorority experience. As such, the Political Affairs committee is charged with selecting members of Congress who best represent our positions and are willing to fight for these positions as legislation is being crafted. The committee looks at a variety of factors in determining how best to distribute funding. We focus on Members of Congress who are Greek and place a priority on supporting sorority women entering the political arena. Discussions among the committee members range from a review of a candidate's past support of our issues, to the candidate's willingness to listen to our ideas and concerns regarding potential legislation, and finally their willingness to encourage other legislators to back positions favorable to our mission. We then bring our recommendations before the full FSPAC board for review and further conversations. In this cycle alone, the committee approved and provided funding for over 120 congressional leaders. Some of these candidates received the maximum contribution allowable, others received significant support, while others remain on our watch list for future consideration. We support those who stand with us to defend the rights of students, protect our single-sex status and, who like you, believe in the value of fraternity and sorority life. Together we ARE a voice that is being heard in the halls of Congress and we look forward to continuing our fight.
