Paul Winer's Cartoon Halloween Events around Quartzsite Friday, October 20th, the VFW Auxilliary will be hosting a Family Freedom Fright Festival from 12 noon to 4pm. 12noon-1pm Live Mu- sic, 12:15-1pm Money Hunt, 1;30-2pm Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest (18 & older), 1:45-2:15pm Tug of War, 2:30pm-3:15pm Costume Con- test. make your own scare crow and decorate a pumpkin. VFW Post 769 is located at 305 N. Central Blvd. Quartzsite. Thursday, October 25th. First Baptist Church hosts their annual free Pumpkin Patch community event. Pick a pumpkin, games, hot dogs, pumpkin decorating, popcorn, apple cider, carmel apples. Time is 4pm - 6pm at First Baptist Church of Quartzsite, 30 Church Lane. 928-927-6395. Saturday, October 27th Town of Quartzsite Annual Pumpkin Park- way Party at Community Center. Free hot dogs for the kids, games, prizes, costume contest & parade, cupcake walk, trick-or-treating along E. Quail Trail to the Haunted House at Town Hall. Party starts 4pm at Community Center. Trick-or-Treating at 5:30pm. Haunted House at 6pm. Free admission! Bring your bags to fi ll with candy! Community Center is located at 295 E. Chandler, off E. Quail Trail. Businesses, Organizations, RV Parks, Individuals are encouraged to set up along the Walking Path to hand out candy to the kids. There will be a prize for the best decorated station! For more information, contact Michelle at the Community Center, 928-927-4333. Wednesday, October 31st. The Grubstake will host a Trunk or Treat for the kids. The fun starts at 6pm. Bring your ghouls, goblins, princesses, witches and frogs for a fun and safe evening of trick or treating. There will be hotdogs, hot chocolate, apple juice for the kids. Raffl e tickets will be sold for prizes. All proceeds to benefi t and sup- port Quartzsite Police Explorers and Quartzsite Fire District. 725 N. Central (Hwy. 95) Wednesday, October 31st. Silly Al's Pizza will host their annual Hal- loween Party! Hosted by DJ Renee. Cash $$ prizes for best costume. Come enjoy some good music and drink specials. 175 W. Main St. On Hallloween October 31st Quartzsite Salvation Army 101 S. Moon Mountain Ave Come in wearing your Halloween costume and enter raffl e for a $5.00 in store credit voucher. Open 8am-noon. Quartzsite, AZ - Buck Connors Western Days ATV/UTV Chal- lenge is a closed-course, off-road vehicle obstacle course with fun surfaces to traverse. The event, sponsored by Quartzsite Off- Road, starts at 2pm, or shortly after the OHV Cattle Drive Parade on Friday, November 9th, and entrants are encouraged to attend both events. There will be three classes: Youth; Open; and Senior. One vehicle at-a-time will be on the course, competing for the shortest elapsed time. Registration begins at noon on November 9 at Town Park. Entry fee is $20; or $15 for pre-registra- tion before November 2. Paren- tal consent is required for youth. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded.
