Our academics, philanthropy, and brotherhood have all seen tremendous progress from a year ago. We are on the right path for success, and I look forward to seeing where this year takes us. Sigma Chi Gamma's academics are among the best on campus. We currently rank fourth among IFC fraternities with a semester GPA of 3.29, which is an improvement from the previous semester's 3.15 GPA. Fall in the SEC compares to no other, and this fall semester looks promising for Sigma Chi Gamma. Our GPA (3.22 cumulative) earned us priority in reserving seats for football games. Sigma Chi Gamma reestablished at Auburn University in the fall of 2017 and the campus has noticed. We have participated in philanthropy events such as Alpha Chi Omega's Walk-A- Mile in Her Shoes and the campus-wide Beat Bama Food Drive. We are also sponsoring our Sweetheart, Phi Mu Carley Bivin '19, this semester for Homecoming queen. One of our members, Michael Roberts '20, serves as the vice president for Campus Involvement (Beat Bama), and has been helping Carley with her platform supporting the food drive. Sigma Chi Gamma fully supports our sweetheart and hopes to see her become Homecoming queen this October. The brotherly bonds made through Sigma Chi Gamma have grown stronger and deeper as we progress through colonization. To emphasize the importance of brotherhood in our colony, we have implemented 10 individual community service hours per semester. Service hours provide a mutually beneficial activity for both our members and our community; we get to spend quality time with one another while giving back to Auburn. Armen Palanjian '21 serves as a service project coordinator for IMPACT. IMPACT coordinates volunteer opportunities with 16 different community service agencies. Armen is planning two community service events for our chapter for this fall. Sigma Chi Gamma strives to earn the highest service hours- to-member ratio on campus. The success seen at Sigma Chi Gamma could not be achieved without the help and support from our chapter advisor, Brian Snyder, Eta Phi '82, our alumni, and most importantly, our members. The Sigma Chi Fraternity teaches me something new every day and has caused me to grow as a man. I am humbled to be a part of such an elite group, and I look forward to the fall semester ahead.
