KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY page 3 Delta Chi Wins Blood Drive Competition in a Successful Philanthropic Semester Chapter Initiates Eight Undergraduates, One Alumnus T he spring semester was a busy time for Delta Chi at Kansas State. As always, we had a full schedule of events as we strived to achieve great things as a chapter. We have had several successes over the course of the past semester, and I am excited to share that news with you! We sent 11 men to learn and grow as leaders in our fraternity and make connections with brothers around the region at the Regional Leadership Conference (RLC) in February. In 2019, we will be honored to host the RLC in Manhattan. In March, we participated in a blood drive competition with every organization on campus, and we won the competition by having the most hours volunteered at this weeklong event! In April, we initiated eight undergraduate members and participated in an Alumni Initiation as well. The same weekend, we hosted our spring philanthropic event, Cookout for Cancer Research, where we raised more than $2,000 in support of the V Foundation. In May, we graduated 11 outstanding young men who will go on to achieve great things in their post-graduate careers. In the end, our chapter achieved several awards, including the Purple Circle Award, an award that recognizes achievement in the Kansas State Greek community, during the annual Fraternal Excellence Awards Banquet. We also saw an improvement in our grades, finishing with a 3.21 GPA. I would like to end the chapter report by inviting each and every one of you to our annual Founder's Day event on September 22, 2018. We have a full day planned for the event and we would love to share our chapter's successes with you and hear about your experience as an undergraduate at Kansas State University! Fraternally, "A" President Nathan Anderson '20 nand318@ksu.edu | (913) 626-2116 We welcomed eight young men from Xi class to the brotherhood this past spring. Brothers gather on a Saturday afternoon for a fun game of kickball at City Park. MOM'S DAY AUCTION T his year the Mother's Day auction raised over $3,400 to benefit the Delta Chi Kansas State Educational Foundation. These contributions to the Educational Foundation, like your donations, help support scholarship opportunities for active brothers. We could not have done it without the support of our wonderful parents, friends, and alumni who donated auction items and bid on those items. We welcomed parents to town for a fun-filled weekend topped off with an auction. All proceeds were donated to the Education Foundation. Welcome, New Members Jeff Bohnenblust '21 McPherson, Kan.
