President Logan Wilcox '19 presented the report on the Chapter's goals evaluation. Logan has recently been appointed Wing Commander, the highest student AFROTC rank of the 70-man cadet corps. Chapter officers and alumni listened attentively to his presentation. Each officer being evaluated for performance-based scholarships is reviewed, along with his incoming replacement officer, by all alumni present based on his goals, mutually agreed upon at the start of his term. Regarding academics, Missouri Gamma placed second overall, falling just short of first place by 0.005. For Chapter events, Missouri Gamma sponsored a TakeDefense class for all females on campus that taught them self- defense. The Chapter also went out to our adopted highway and participated in an all-morning cleaning of said highway. Missouri Gamma was recognized by SigEp National with the Talent Power Award, which recognizes a chapter that has had an excellent freshmen recruiting class. It signifies excellence in academics, athletics, and leadership within and outside the fraternity. We were also recognized by the Missouri S&T campus with the Joe's PEERS award, which recognizes an organization on campus that continually promotes a style of healthy living. Through our partnership with Miner Wellness for Sexual Assault Awareness Week, we were seen as the organization that excels in promotion within and outside of our fraternity. Outside of Chapter activities, Jacob Francka '17 married Ellen Castellano and Chris Catlett '18 married Amanda Broughton, both during the month of April. The Chapter continues to strive for excellence in all that we do and to be in a positive spotlight on campus and in the community. If you have any questions, please contact me at lmwc65@mst.edu.
