When not working on the Old Gal project, Torjan
runs a small architectural firm with just under 10
employees in Tukwila, a South Seattle suburb.
They specialize in commercial work, including
industrial, restaurant, multi-family apartments,
self-storage, space planning, and health clubs.
The firm is presently working on an ambulatory
surgery center addition to the PRO Sports Club
in Bellevue, "a 30 million dollar project that is
very complicated in terms of coordination of the
mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
We're also planning a new pool and water park
complex. I feel fortunate to have so many repeat
clients and referrals from them that have kept me
busy over the years." More of Torjan's work can

Torjan and his wife of 25 years, Mary Black,
