Facebook - Sigma Phi Epsilon Alumni (Florida State University)-Florida Epsilon LinkedIn - SigEp Florida State Undergraduates Contribute to the Return to Campus Campaign Clear Objectives Set for the Men of Florida Epsilon I t is my privilege to announce a pledge of $60,050 from the Florida Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity to the Return to Campus campaign. I can speak for the entire Chapter and say we are thrilled for the plans on the new Lafayette Street property, fostering a residential learning community to accompany our adjustment to the new normal at Florida State University. The Balanced Man Program, along with substance-free housing bylaws, which were voted in by the Chapter in early January, have been major stepping stones for our adaptation to the new normal. We will continue to promote the culture change of our Fraternity through recruitment of new members who meet the standards of the Ideal Balanced Man. We have refocused our recruitment pool around campus involvement and merit by raising our GPA requirement to a 3.0, adopting a "356 recruiting" strategy outside of formal recruitment, and launching a Balanced Man Scholarship starting in the fall of 2018. Moving forward with our vision, becoming a residential learning community is the next step in continuing our Chapter's upward trend. With a new Chapter House being built in the perfect location next to campus, not only is it a huge pull factor for potential new members, but it will facilitate a substance-free space for academics, engagement with faculty fellows and alumni, and provide a common area to complete our BMP challenge objectives. Over the past couple years, the Alumni Volunteer Corporation has been tirelessly fundraising and working to see the same vision for our Chapter come to fruition, and we are on the cusp. With the changing culture of Greek life at FSU, we have an opportunity to prove that we will be different, the same principle that Sigma Phi Epsilon was founded on more than 100 years ago. Our goal is to become the pinnacle of student organizations at Florida State by leading the charge in implementing very necessary changes at our university, amplifying campus and philanthropic involvement, and continuous development of balanced men within SigEp; thus distinguishing ourselves as leaders in a time where Greek life is under such a microscope. Fraternally, Wilson "Nate" Wheeler '19 Chapter House President wnw14@my.fsu.edu Special campaign announcement inside! RETURN TO CAMPUS
