BE CAREFUL WHEN
GIVING OUT YOUR
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Cyber criminals can be crafty. Oftentimes they try to
trick you into giving them your personal information so
that they can access your bank or credit accounts.
ƒey launch "phishing" scams where they pose as your
bank, credit card company, a tax collector or another
institution in an attempt to ask you for your credit card,
bank account or personal identification numbers (PINs)
or other information.
Jonathan Kirby, Assistant Vice President for Security
and Investigations at Redstone, said the Credit Union
will never call members to ask for this information.
Remember this: If the financial institution is calling you,
they should know your info already. Never authenticate
yourself to anyone who contacts you, Kirby said.
Trust your instincts. If a phone call, link or email seems
suspicious, it probably is. Hang up the phone. Don't click
the link. Delete the email. If you're not sure whether a
call is legit, you can always call back – using the number
on the back of your credit card or on the company's
website – to confirm that the caller is the real deal.

When we look back over
this incredible year,
however, it's not the
awards we see, but the

day. Any kudos our
organization receives go
both to them and to our
loyal membership.
Congratulations, and
