In May, Calhoun Community College President Dr. James Klauber, and Redstone's President and CEO Joe Newberry, signed a lease agreement for an area inside the college's library where a new credit union branch will be located. Redstone is on target to open four credit union branches on high school and college campuses this year. FOUR NEW STUDENT-LED BRANCHES * Must not have caused RFCU a loss in order to be eligible to open a checking account. Minimum opening deposits, average monthly deposits, average monthly balances and monthly checking maintenance fees apply to checking accounts. AAMU President Dr. Andrew Hugine said the university branch provides several benefits for students: • Learning opportunities for marketing and business students • Proceeds from a special debit card* • Student workshops on financial literacy Two more branches are set to open this fall. Austin High School and Decatur High School will both host branches. ƒey are staffed by students and provide real-world work experiences.
