Dear FIU SigEp Alumni,
My congratulations to your Alumni Volunteer Corporation on the decision to build a
SigEp Learning Community facility on campus and also create a scholarship and leadership
endowment for your members. FIU appreciates the leadership and support that SigEp
undergraduates and alumni have provided the University for over 30 years. Your alumni have
assumed key business, professional, political, and academic positions throughout the nation,
and no chapter has been more committed to their alma mater as SigEp.
Your project is going to be the first of its kind not just at FIU, but in the state of Florida.
Obviously, an undertaking of this nature can only happen with the support of alumni. e
decision to create an endowment and provide a facility with first-rate study and meeting
accommodations will enhance the overall university experience for our undergraduates.
SigEps have shown that they are loyal to FIU. A high proportion of leadership in the FIU
Alumni Association are SigEp alumni. We know that something about the SigEp experience
fosters involvement and loyalty.
