hen I pulled up at 5464 Osage
Circle in Fayetteville's Clear
Creek community, I knew I was
in for a treat. I'm a lucky guy. I
get to write the weekly real estate features for
the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and
features for Ozark Living Magazine. I'm a huge
architecture, home design and art geek. I love
it all. Getting to tour a 6,700 square foot, three
level, $1.4 million new construction with its
owner, and the builder responsible, is as good
as it gets. Matt and Courtney Armiger were
gracious to allow me and Brian Huntley, my
photographer for the assignment, into their
home. Lee Scarlett of Celtic Construction, the
homes builder, was on hand to walk us through
the home and provide details about its fi xtures,
fi nishes, and its one-of-a-kind design and
construction.
Lee explained the process he goes through
when working on a home construction project.
"We only build custom homes," he said.
" e home owner is totally involved from day
one. ey pick the home. ey pick the lot and
they pick their colors and the stone. You name
it. It's truly custom."
As you walk up to the front porch of the
home the amount of detail is amazing. Natural
