UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA | THETA GAMMA CHAPTER 1 Honoring Our Past S ince our Theta Gamma founding, Delta Delta Delta has been at the heart of Greek life at University of Oklahoma. With more than 2,500 initiates, the Theta Gamma Chapter has nurtured and sustained women for 108 years during some of the most formative years of their lives, cultivating lasting friendships in the process. As alumnae, we can trace many of our dearest friendships and best college memories back to our Tri Delta experience. While there may be some differences in today's chapter compared to the one you knew, there is an unbroken chain of Theta Gamma members at the University of Oklahoma. More than ever, sororities play a significant role in the development of young women and this growth is crucial in today's competitive world. In addition to the standards taught by our sisterhood, we acquired valuable assets, including leadership skills, organizational skills, social skills, teamwork, and character, during our time in the chapter and beyond. Oftentimes, these traits have been integral to our personal success and helped make us the women we are today. Our chapter house at 1611 College is clearly the focus of undergraduate life for Tri Delta. It has been a home away from home for hundreds of young women and a classroom where our sisters have learned to establish a perpetual bond of friendship, to develop a strong and more womanly character, to broaden the moral and intellectual life, and to assist our members in every possible way. However, if we wish for Delta Delta Delta to continue its strong presence on the University of Oklahoma campus, we must ensure that we are providing a safe, modern, and competitive facility. Now is the appropriate time to secure our future.
