W e have had yet another exciting year here at the Alpha Chi Chapter! We initiated 41 charismatic and motivated new members back in October. They have been an incredible asset to our chapter. Watching them grow, form lasting friendships, and show interest in becoming more involved within Theta has been extremely rewarding! As always, academic success remains a top priority here at the Alpha Chi Chapter, as we ranked first in grades for both spring 2017 and fall 2017 semesters. Our members are continuing to land impressive internships during the school year and throughout the summer months. We have sisters studying abroad in Madrid, London, and Milan. This past year women have interned with Eli Lilly, Caterpillar, Riley Children's Hospital, and for myLifeSpeaks in Haiti as a medical intern. The women of Alpha Chi continue to show leadership in a multitude of organizations all across campus. We have members represented in clubs such as Boiler Gold Rush, Old Masters, and Rising Professionals, and other members who spend their time volunteering with Pete's Pals and College Mentors for Kids. We even have a member, Carrigan Sales '16, who was a part of the winning Purdue co-ed national championship cheerleading team. The Theta intramural soccer team also brought home another championship title. Watching the members of Alpha Chi work so hard to achieve great things reminds me every day why I chose to be a Theta. We are so lucky to be surrounded by such motivating and powerful women as our sisters. Included this year was a Silent Auction with bidding on items and baskets contributed by the Thetas and their moms. The chapter chose the Educational Foundation as the recipient of the proceeds. An amazing $3,885 was raised. Shown are moms and Thetas perusing some of the items on display. Purdue's cheerleading squad won the National 2018 Division 1 Small Co-Ed Championship.
