received UNL's Outstanding
Student Leader Award this
spring. The award is given to
two students every year. There
are around 450 nominations
from administrators and staff
at the university, and around
140 applications from students.
Twenty students are selected
as semi-finalists, and from those
six students are selected as
finalists to be interviewed by
the committee. Finally, one
female and one male student
are selected and awarded a
scholarship in the value of a
semester's worth of tuition.
