Social Studies Education Summer Alumni Events W e are holding several events again this sum- mer to bring Farm- House to you. is is a time to reconnect with brothers, meet members from other decades, get updates on the chapter house, and have fun. All of these events are perfect for the whole family. Bring your wife, kids, grandkids, and any poten- tial new members you may know. We have a blast when we get together—telling stories and play- ing games. Come meet the active members and learn what FarmHouse is doing at WSU. All of these events are a potluck-style barbecue with burgers and dogs provided. June 9 4-7 p.m. Greenacres Park, 1311 N. Long Rd., Spokane Val- ley, Wash. We have a shelter reserved and the park has play structures, a splash pad, and a disc golf course. June 16 12-4 p.m. Sun Lakes State Park, near Coulee City, Wash. We will be near the swimming area at the state park. ere is fishing, play structure, and we will have a cornhole tournament. July 21 3-6 p.m. Whatcom Falls Park, Electric Ave., Bellingham, Wash. is event is before a recruitment event for the active members at the Bellingham Bells baseball game. Come out and enjoy the hatchery, water- fall, and trails at this beautiful park. We will be at the upper park access off of Electric Ave. near the tennis courts. 2018 NEW MEMBERS Peter G. Doumit '69 is fully retired aer 45 years in teaching and coaching; he taught Pre-K through college levels and coached tee ball and little drib- blers basketball through college athletics. In June 2017, he finished his second stint as the head base- ball coach at Big Bend Community College in Mo- ses Lake, Wash. Peter and his wife, Faith, are active members of their church and enjoy spending time with their 14 grandchildren in Utah and Washing- ton. E-mail: pdoumitb@yahoo.com Robert W. Ball '70 retired in 2013 aer 35 years in transportation and logistics sales for Emery Worldwide and UPS. Now Robert is the boys and girls golf coach at Ridgefield High School.
