W
e held our spring recruitment the week of January 22. The events
were Casino Night, Steak and Cigars, a cookout and yard games at
the Chapter House, bubble soccer at the rec center, and our Bid Dinner on
Friday. A total of five new members pledged by the end of the week.
In early February, our executive officers attended Carlson Leadership
Academy to gain a better understanding of their role in the Chapter and
improve their leadership skills.
On February 23, we held a murder mystery dinner party with the sisters
of Kappa Alpha Theta. March 1, we hosted an event with the Student
Government called Dogs on the Lawn. People brought their dogs to come
play with students as a way of de-stressing during midterms.
Greek Week was the week of March 5. On March 10, we co-hosted a
barbecue with Pi Beta Phi. Then, on March 16, we held a social with Sigma
Kappa at a local putt-putt course.

or the past few years, the AVC has hosted an alumni tailgate for the Homecoming football game. If you haven't been back to campus recently,
the new Marv Kay Stadium and tailgating parking lot are both vastly improved experiences from what you remember of Mines football. We'll
be in the row nearest the stadium, flying the SigEp Colorado Delta flag. Please come by for great barbecue and to meet up with brothers.
