Χ Ω G iving to Lambda has never been easier! In the fall, we launched our new online giving form to raise funds to directly impact the Lambda Chapter. Gifts through this online form, as well as gifts by mail, go to our local foundation, the Lambda Owl Foundation, and contributions are tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. In accordance with IRS regulations, funds raised through the Lambda Owl Foundation are granted back to the House Corporation on an annual basis in order to support a percentage of upkeep and maintenance to the Chapter House. Restricted gifts can also be given to the Lambda Assistance Scholarship Fund for sisters with financial need. Is Lambda Chapter in Your Estate Plans? By including Lambda Chapter in your estate, you declare to your family and friends that you believe in and care about our mission. Estate gifts are especially valuable to both the donor and the organization, providing tax benefits to the donor and much-needed support for Lambda. Estate gifts can be designated for a specific purpose or they can be unrestricted for use where needed most. A well-planned estate gift often influences others to "go and do likewise." The 2017-18 school year has been great. Outstanding members, staff, volunteers and our historic home all contribute to make Chi Omega the "top of the Hill." We can once again be so very proud to be Chi Omegas and Lambdas! Special thanks to House Director Norma Jeanne Doleshal and Chef Robert Lake. Their time and support are crucial to the success of our Chapter. As the academic year winds down and summer begins, we are gearing up for another busy summer of maintenance projects as the House Corporation Board works to preserve and maintain our beautiful Chapter House. We have received such great feedback from the members on the enhancements made last summer and look forward to what we have slated this summer. The largest project this summer will involve the parking lot. These improvements will include resurfacing and restriping, as well as design enhancements and new landscaping to the entrance. We believe these updates will help clearly differentiate the entrance to the Chi Omega parking lot and help prevent those not permitted from entering. As we all know, we need all the spaces for our great members and staff. Other improvements to the Chapter House will include improvements to the kitchen, updates to the Chapter Room, and installation of new fan coil units. We are so appreciative of all of the great support we receive to fund these improvements. Your generosity is vital to the sustained excellence of Lambda. Loyally, Julie Numrich Murray '96 House Corporation President Thank You, Loyal Lambda Alumnae A special thanks goes to the 60 alumnae who made gifts in 2017 totaling more than $23,626! The successes achieved by Lambda Chapter are directly attributed to the loyal support from you and your sisters. Your gifts allow us to provide an environment where our undergraduates can prepare for excellence in their lives after college while gaining friendships that will last a lifetime.
