4 Lyre Notes M ore than 70 executive board members and advisors of ACW chapters at Missouri, Missouri State, William Woods, Southeast Missouri State, Iowa and Iowa State met on Mizzou's campus in late January for a day of educational and enrichment programs and to discuss common issues. Iowa/ Missouri Province Day, which occurs every other year, was organized by Province Collegiate Chairman for Iowa/Missouri Jessi Meredith Caldera '03. The group was welcomed by Carrie Tergin, Zeta Sigma '92, mayor of Jefferson City, Mo., and Lou Ann Pfeifer Wilcox '75 concluded the conference with a presentation of lifetime membership in ACW. SISTERS ATTEND IOWA/MISSOURI PROVINCE DAY Sisters from Missouri and Iowa chapters meet at Mizzou in January to discuss educational programs and common problems. Lou Ann Pfeifer Wilcox '75 concludes Province Day with a presentation. "When Karen Hinds Foster '70 was president and I was first vice president, we roomed together in the chapter house. It was the beginning of a friendship spanning over 45 years. Missouri Governor Appoints Alpha Nu Alumna as Executive Director of the Missouri Women's Council I n October 2017, Missouri Gover- nor Eric Greitens named Kellie Ann Christie Coats '94 as the new executive director of the Missouri Women's Coun- cil. The intent of the Missouri Women's Council is to work closely with other agencies and community-based organi- zations to build awareness, educate, pro- mote opportunities for and enhance the lives and well-being of Missouri's wom- en and families. The Missouri Women's Council is an organization within the De- partment of Economic Development that works to promote the economic success of Missouri women by connecting them to information and resources. According to a news release issued by the governor's office, "Throughout her career, Kellie Ann Coats has been an influential member of multiple organizations, councils and committees. In 2006, she served as the first development officer for the Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment Disorders, leading to her involvement with MU Health Care in 2009, where she worked on multiple fundraising campaigns. Kellie Ann is a current member of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Women's Network and Griffith's Leadership Society. With her background and expertise, Kellie Ann is a strong addition to the Missouri Women's Council."
