H appy spring! I'm not sure about you, but it has been a long winter and I know that many of us cannot wait for the new life that spring brings as it brightens up the outdoors and we start to see some warmer weather. Spring is also an exciting time for those preparing to graduate, as it signals the end of one phase of life and the beginning of a new phase into adult- hood. I'm sure our upcoming graduates are surprised how fast college has gone by. In fact, the first few months of 2018 have flown by, but we would be remiss if we did not take a moment to thank our alumnae, active members, and staff! We simply could not do this without the support of everyone. We are thankful to our active members; their energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity is amazing! We also receive support from our alumnae and we are grateful for their continued generosity. Beta Sigma Volunteers Go Above and Beyond In addition, we have many volunteers who support our chapter on a regular basis with their time. Our advisory board and House Corporation Board help guide Beta Sigma and provide overall support. We are extremely lucky to have the onsite support of our wonderful house mom, Carrie Sandorff, whom you can read more about on page 4. As you know, our house is older and with older homes comes ongoing maintenance as well as unexpected issues. Mom Carrie jumps in immediately and we are grateful for her support and the support of our house staff. Somehow everyone finds the time with their busy schedules to come together. Our shared vision and commitment allow us to thrive together. Thank you for your support and generosity. We could not do this without you! To our upcoming spring graduates, congratulations! We wish you the best of luck as you enter this next phase of life and we'll leave you with these empowering words from Maya Angelou, "I encourage you to live with life. Be courageous, adventurous. Give us a tomorrow, more than we deserve."
