T his spring has already been a wonderful time of personal growth, friendship, loyalty, and service for our chapter. In January, all executive council members and our social chairman attended the Regional Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas. At this conference, each officer learned about the many tools and resources that the national organization offers us and how we can most effectively perform our duties. We also held a Collegiate Of- ficer Workshop in late January for all officers. Spring Activities We celebrated our women who did well scholastically on March 12 by holding a scholarship dinner and handing out awards for women who improved academically and made the honor roll. In February, we had our first date party with the theme of Dynamic Duos and in April we will have our formal date party at Abe & Jake's Landing. In early March, we had an alumnae event at the Nelson Atkins Museum in Kansas City. Senior Send-Off We're looking ahead to events for our soon-to-be alumnae, i.e., our seniors. Senior wills are already in the works, where the se- nior women will give away certain Sigma Kappa memorabilia to underclassmen and share stories of their time in the chapter. Giving Back to the Community Xi Chapter will host two community service events in April. The first will be Campus Cleanup, which pertains to our Inherit the Earth philanthropy. For this event we will partner with our sister sorority, Kappa Delta. Then on April 25, we will host Sigma Kappatizers benefitting the Sigma Kappa Foundation. We would love it if you came out to support us in our philan- thropic efforts! As we approach the end of another year, we want to thank our always generous alumnae for their continued support. Please stop by the house whenever you're in Lawrence. We would love to see you!
