Chi Omega Parents Club Is in Full Swing W e have no meetings—only fun functions with our daughters! Family Weekend, Dad's Weekend, Holiday Open House, Mom's Weekend, and Graduation Brunch are the five events that we work in conjunction with the chapter special event planner to make sure they are top-notch! We pay dues and raise funds, which allow us to enhance our daughters' experiences as Chi Omega members. Thanks to the Mom's Weekend auction, we were able to contribute $15,000 to summer projects at the chapter house—the corporation board was very excited! Thanks to the parents' generosity, we get to go above and beyond the planned events. Parents Club served a special dinner to the women during Recruitment Work Week, provide study snacks during exams twice a year, and can buy printer paper and bring balloons, flowers or cookies at certain times. As the mother of a Lambda and being one myself, it is a pleasure to give back to the chapter by volunteering as the president of Parents Club. If you have ideas or questions, I'd love to hear from you. On top of a fabulous cumulative GPA, more than 50 of our members earned a 4.0 GPA! Semester after semester, our members put their best foot forward in academics, excellence, and dedication. This fall, Chi Omegas are already hard at work studying to earn Top of the Hill in grades. RECRUITMENT The Lambda Chapter of Chi Omega had another wonderful recruitment in August. Recruitment Chairman Molly Engen '16 did a wonderful job planning and executing all of the inner-workings. Our members had fun and learned about the other side of recruitment during Work Week. Our second annual Alumni Social was a hit among members and alumni alike during Work Week. The new member pledge class is loving everything about Chi Omega and looks forward to being officially initiated January 26-27.
