SPRINGING TOWARD SUCCESS Sisters Bond over Philanthropic Activities and Game Nights T he spring semester started off with a bang as we participated in informal recruitment and continuous open bidding. We hosted three main events: a root beer float bar, a game night to get to know active sisters, and a tiki night with many Hawaiian drinks and treats. We were happy with how everything turned out and are excited to have recruited and initiated four women into our chapter. So far this semester, we have hosted our spring philanthropic event, Human Phoosball. Members of the Greek community created teams and participated in a large foosball tournament to raise both money and awareness for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. We also hosted a bagel bar dinner, complete with all our favorite bagels and cream cheese spreads. We loved seeing everyone come together to support our cause. We raised more $3400 at these events combined. Recently, we participated in Illini Chabad's match-a-thon campaign and competed against other Greek houses to donate money to our philanthropy. We are excited that we can give an additional $500 each to Sharsheret and EGPAF. We have many exciting events this semester, including a house-wide challah bake and a trip to the movies! There have also been many game, yoga, and craft nights, giving our sisters plenty of opportunities to bond. In April we hosted Mom's Weekend! Members and their families were able to participate in many activities at the chapter house, including a dessert bar, lunch, a silent auction, and more. We are so lucky to have the support of so many parents and alumnae!
