(Continued on page 2) DevoteD to Pi Beta Phi CHC President Linda Moore Harris '69 Helps Ensure the Continued Success of Alabama Beta W hen she first visited the Pi Beta Phi house during recruitment, Linda Moore Harris '69 immediately felt a connection. The members were very warm, friendly and seemed down to earth and sincere. After returning to the Pi Phi house each day, the feeling grew stronger. By the end of recruitment, Linda knew Pi Phi was the home for her. "Many of my fondest memories are from my years at The University of Alabama are associated with my Pi Phi experiences and the sisterhood," she shared. After receiving her bachelor's degree in elementary education from The University of Alabama, Linda taught elementary students for the first few years of her career before returning to school for her certification in exceptional education. Linda taught exceptional education students in elementary, then middle school, and ended her career as a work instructor in high school. She retired in May 2017, after 44 wonderful years of teaching. Linda became a Chapter House Corporation volunteer in 2011 because she wanted to do her part to continue Alabama Beta's legacy. "The most rewarding part of being CHC President has been working with other alumnae volunteers and getting to know the ladies of our chapter." She recognizes Carrie Butler Thomas '91, who she has had the pleasure of working with on the construction of Alabama Beta's new chapter house. "I appreciate her service to CHC and her hard work and dedication to the building project." The years of personal sacrifice and hard work was all worthwhile to be able to see chapter members enjoying their new house. To current members of the Alabama Beta Chapter, Linda encourages them to cherish their Pi Phi sisterhood by making each day a
