Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi 5 O ur chapter welcomed a new executive council at the beginning of the year. The new leaders attended the Alpha Phi Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas, and connected with sisters from chapters all over the region. We were honored to receive ΑΦ Foundation's top donor award for the southern quadrant, which recognized our work in raising more than $40,000 to support the Foundation's vital programs. Omicron was also honored for excellence in target membership, marketing, philanthropy, and watchcare. It was incredible to see our chapter's hard work and dedication pay off! Vice President of Community Relations Morgan Kantouth '16 and her team have been busy planning a new interactive sporting event to raise more money for the ΑΦ Foundation, and our sisters are excited to continue promoting and fundraising. Hearth Health Week and Speaker's Circle In February, Omicron organized a Heart Health Week and invited women to volunteer at Speaker's Circle to market our philanthropy. Our sisters have also frequented downtown Columbia to collect money for this amazing cause. I am proud that our members give so much of their time to support charitable work, on top of their schoolwork and campus activities. Omicron Women Keep Busy with Charitable Work We hosted Alpha Phiffa in March, our first-ever soccer tournament. Toward the end of the spring semester, we will join other Greek chapters in the fight against multiple sclerosis by supporting the MS Institute of Mid-Missouri. In addition to our organized philanthropic functions, our sisters have stayed busy by volunteering, donating canned goods, participating in blood drives, and running 5Ks. Celebrating Bid Day and Omicron's Birthday Spring Bid Day took place in March, and Omicron welcomed our new members with a "Lucky you, lucky me, lucky to be in Alpha Phi" themed event. We look forward to celebrating Omicron's birthday later in the semester and cherishing our beautiful white house on Providence as well as our loyal alumnae. It is because of the sisters who came before us and Omicron's House Corporation Board that our members have quality and competitive housing on campus. We are eager for the rest of the spring semester and to see what great things are in store for us!
