New Epsilon House
Reinvigorates Chapter
Sisters Look Forward to
Founder's Day and Step It Up
T
he fall was an exciting time for the Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Xi
Delta, and our new chapter house definitely reinvigorated the
sisters' enthusiasm for the semester.
HOW WE SPENT OUR FALL
Epsilon kept busy by participating in Greek Week, for which we were
the runner-up. Our sisters volunteered at the NICU reunion at the Avera
children's hospital in Sioux Falls. We bonded through several sisterhood
events and had a fun-filled day at a pumpkin patch in Canton, South
Dakota, for our sisterhood retreat, before concluding the semester with
a pre-finals week Christmas party.
CHILI FEED AND KARAOKE FOR A CAUSE
Our newly graduated vice president of philanthropy, Macenzie
Wood '15, and her team made a significant step toward reaching our
philanthropic fundraising goal at Epsilon's Chili Feed in November. We
also introduced Karaoke for a Cause during the Chili Feed, which was
a huge success.
CELEBRATING OUTGOING SENIORS AND
INCOMING LEGACIES
In addition to Macenzie Wood '15, we celebrated the graduation of
two more senior sisters, Emilee Ulku '16 and Shilo Lemmon '15, and
welcomed legacies Kate Kirkebak '17, Madison Godschalk '16, and
Jennifer Jensen '17.
SPRING EVENTS AND CELEBRATIONS
Initiation took place January 12-13, while spring recruitment began later
in the month. In April, we will celebrate our Founder's Day and host
Step It Up, a 5K walk/run event benefiting Autism Speaks.
It has been a great semester so far, and our chapter is highly anticipating
the completed renovation of our beloved chapter house!
