PRIDE IN THE FRATERNITY Collegiate Brothers Value Academic, Philanthropic Success O ver the past semester, our chapter has achieved some great accomplishments while still having a great time strengthening our brotherhood and living out the values of Theta Chi One of the accomplishments we are most proud of is our outstanding GPA This semester, we ranked third of all 31 fraternities with an average of 324 This marks two consecutive semesters that our chapter has held above a 32 GPA A fun event that happened this semester was our first Dad's Day We had a weekend full of fun, which included grilling out, tailgating, attending a football game, and going out to dinner with our dads It was a huge success; everyone had a wonderful time and we were able to fundraise for our chapter through this event Another thing we are very proud of was our philanthropy, Theta Chi Lattes for the Troops We sold lattes, hot chocolate, and muffins on campus for the entire week leading up to Veteran's Day All the proceeds benefited the USO and we were able to fundraise nearly $3,000 We are very grateful we were able to support this cause, knowing that all the money will be going to our military members who help serve and protect our country We welcomed in our newest executive team and are excited to watch them lead our chapter this semester and are eager for what is to come Some of these events include our candlelight vigil, which will raise awareness for victims of sexual assault within our community Mom's Day was held this February, and it was as much of a success as our Dad's Day Finally, we will be holding our Founder's Day brunch in April to celebrate our history and brotherhood We want to thank you for your ongoing support of our chapter and brothers We are so very fortunate to have the support of alumni members and we appreciate all you do and continue to do to better our brotherhood Sincerely, Jack Walker '20 Chapter President Brothers celebrate after winning the intramural flag football championship.
