FARMHOUSE FRATERNITY Nebraska Chapter / University of Nebraska-Lincoln www.nebraskafarmhouse.org Spring 2018 A STRONG FINISH FOR THE NEXT HUNDRED YEARS OF BUILDING MEN CAMPAIGN Thank You to All Supporters of This Project! W e are so thankful to all the donors and the volunteers who have helped make our capital campaign a huge success. We have raised over $4.2 million in pledges coming from 544 loyal and generous brothers and friends. Through our Raise the Barn effort, we raised more than $760,000 above our original $3.5 million goal. In fact, just since October, we have received more than $220,000 in new pledges and gifts. What a strong way to finish this campaign! Construction on the new chapter house continues to move forward, and will be completed this fall. We are currently looking at Homecoming Saturday as the date for our dedication ceremony. We will provide additional details as the university's schedule is finalized. While the campaign is officially wrapping up, it is not too late to participate and to be listed as a donor on the project. For those who have generously contributed already but may feel compelled to give a bit more, we will make sure you receive the proper level of recognition for your increased gift. We even have naming opportunities available. Any individuals or families who donate $50,000 or more to the campaign have the opportunity to have a study room named in their honor. For those who have already achieved that level, we are in the process of reaching out to discuss naming opportunities. For new donors, or existing donors who might be interested in increasing your donation to the $50,000 level, feel free to contact me or anyone else involved in the campaign and we will gladly assist you or answer any questions you might have. Gifts can be mailed to our address listed on the back of this newsletter. You may also make a gift online to the FarmHouse Foundation at farmhouse.org/foundation. Be sure to select Building Fund and type in Nebraska Chapter to ensure your gift goes to the correct fund. As you may have learned, our active chapter continues to perform at a high level, having once again finished first in GPA among all fraternities with a 3.596 average. The active members continue to assume leadership roles on campus and provide service to the community, living up to the ideals that have made FarmHouse strong since the beginning. Having a modern, safe, attractive facility will help the chapter continue to attract outstanding members and to foster an environment of excellence into the future. As you can imagine, there is a great deal of excitement for the new house within the active chapter, but there is also a profound sense of duty. Not only have the active members contributed financially to the campaign, but they have expressed their commitment to care for the new facility so that it can serve the chapter for decades to come. Again, I wish to thank everyone for their gracious support, through dollars and time. If you are in Lincoln this fall, I hope that you will stop by the house.
