THE FLATIRON S igma Phi Epsilon is dedicated to creating balanced men and balanced leaders. Through the principles of SigEp, Tom Hall '81 has become just that— a balanced global leader. His decision to be a part of Colorado Alpha has helped shape him into the suc- cessful man he is today. After earning his bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Colorado, Tom moved back to Chicago. There, he attained his master's in busi- ness administration from the University of Chicago while working full time. Tom has spent the major- ity of his career in large global corporations, such as Amoco, Baxter, Pepsi, Seagate, and Allstate. He has served as an HR executive responsible for operations in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Tom is now the director of the Stanton Chase Chicago office, but will be relocating to Scottsdale, Arizona. He leads retained executive searches for all types of clientele, with his primary focus on the financial services, technology, and the life sciences and healthcare industries. His career has taken him all over the world, from Belfast, Northern Ireland to Bangalore, India. "Despite relocating eight times, I never could find a way to move back to the front range," Tom shared. Throughout his career, one of his most important skills has been the ability lead and give direction when needed. Being a member of SigEp has al- lowed Tom to rise above the rest, partially due to the foundational and leadership skills learned through the Fraternity. The values and know-how instilled as an undergraduate carry on long after liv- ing in the Chapter House. Tom and his wife, Marcia, recently celebrated their 28th anniversary. Together they have two sons, Trevor and Spencer, who are living in Phoenix and San Francis- co. Although Tom's SigEp connections have waned over the years due to his career, he hopes to renew his ties to the Fraternity. "Let's hope Scottsdale will improve our chances of reconnecting in the coming years," he shared. You can connect with Tom at tommachall@aol.com.
